Scope:

The renewal of Minto Housing Commission into a sustainable residential development. TRN Group (“TRN”) completed multiple stages which consisted of bulk earthworks and all civil works in and around existing infrastructure.

Summary:

The redevelopment of Minto commenced in 2007 with TRN taking 10 years to demolish and construct a residential site that included integrating freehold ownership of land replacing previous large sections of housing commission. TRN built roads, bridges, parks and upgraded services, turning Minto into a thriving residential community.

The key to the successful completion of the project was the management and communication with the local community, with hundreds of existing residential houses located within the development envelope.

Innovation:

TRN developed techniques to supply services to all existing residential housing, whilst works were being completed metres from them. Often these techniques were developed as different needs arose and had to be adapted for different situations to accommodate each housing commission tenant.
